New Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Head of Region in Hull announced

Cath Hearne is to be the new head of region for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Yorkshire and Lincolnshire based in Hull.

Currently the Editor of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ London News, she replaces Helen Thomas who has
become the new head of region for Yorkshire, based in Leeds.

Cath said: "I'm really looking forward to the move north.

"The new region of
Yorks and Lincs has already built a strong reputation - they won the RTS best
regional programme award ahead of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ London last year.

Previously Editorial Co-ordinator for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Nations and Regions, Cath was
responsible for co-ordinating the successful launches of the regional current
affairs programme Inside Out and the transfer and integration of the regional
politics programme into The Politics Show on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE.

She has worked on launches of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Breakfast and the Ten O'clock News and was a
director in Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ North East and Cumbria - where she won RTS (Royal Television Society) Best Regional
Programme.

She was also a director on Premier Passions, a five-part Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE documentary
broadcast in 1998 following the fortunes of Sunderland AFC.
