As another glorious summer comes to a close, the recent clouds are forecast to clear once again on Saturday 9 September for the last Hyde Park outdoor musical extravaganza of 2006 - Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms in the Park.

So pack your picnics, pick up those flags that have been gathering dust since the World Cup, grab your family and friends and be a part of one of the nation's greatest traditions, Last Night of the Proms.

Sir Terry Wogan hosts a stellar line-up to suit all tastes, including top Romanian soprano Angela Gheorghiu, who will sing some of the best-loved arias and romantically duet with two acclaimed tenors - her husband Roberto Alagna and Stefan Banica.

Music icon Lionel Richie will serenade the crowds with some of his most famous hits including Hello and Dancing on the Ceiling, plus material from his new album Coming Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.

Italian popera sensation Vittorio Grigolo and award-winning British trumpeter Alison Balsom round up the all-star cast, all of whom perform on stage with the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Concert Orchestra conducted by Carl Davis.

The event culminates in a live link-up with the Royal Albert Hall and a nationwide sing-along to traditional favourites including Jerusalem, Land of Hope and Glory and Rule Britannia with the help of the Royal Choral Society.

Live-wire X Factor finalist Chico, pub-rock legends Chas & Dave and Madness tribute band One Step Behind take care of the afternoon's warm-up entertainment, all presented by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2's Ken Bruce.

Now an integral part of the UK's musical calendar, Proms in the Park takes places in five locations across all four nations of the United Kingdom - Glasgow, Belfast, Manchester, Swansea and London.
