Nick Patten to head up Features and Documentaries in Birmingham for Factual & Learning

Nick Patten has been announced as Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Factual & Learning's new Studio Head for Features and Documentaries in Birmingham.

Nick has been a very successful Executive Producer in Birmingham for the past four years, responsible for much of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ TWO's gardening output including Gardeners' World, Christine's Garden, Gardener of the Year and RHS Tatton.

He also executive produced formatted documentaries such as How I made my Property Fortune for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ TWO, All the Queen's Cooks for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE, and To Buy or Not to Buy for Daytime.

He takes up his new post with immediate effect.

The Features and Documentaries Studio in Birmingham produces a range of programmes and series including hits like Coast, Pay off your Mortgage in Two Years, Countryfile, Gardeners' World, Desi DNA, Summer Exhibition, Pakistani Actually, To Buy or Not to Buy and the upcoming series Trawlermen for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE.

Nick spent the first half of his career producing and directing a number of high profile series for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ TWO, including Chelsea Flower Show and Gardens by Design, before moving into Daytime where he studio directed Daytime Live and was part of the Good Morning with Anne & Nick launch team.

Before returning to the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Nick worked for Mentorn Films, looking after the company's daytime output, and ran his own production company for nine years - Nick Patten Productions - winning a string of commissions, including a number of travel and cookery shows for Channel Five with TV chef Keith Floyd, such as Floyd Uncorked and Floyd's India.
