Radio 1's week in Ibiza - bigger for 2006

1 announced today that the station will return to the White Isle from Sunday 6 to 13 August for a whole week of broadcasts.

The week in Ibiza represents a key part of Radio 1's summer schedule and sees the station extend its coverage from its legendary Ibiza
Weekend to what will now be a mammoth 36 hours from a string of parties across the island.
Ìý
Pete Tong revealed Radio 1's full Ibiza line-up today (Friday
9 June, 6.00-9.00pm) at his Essential Selection opening party live from Café
Mambo.
Ìý
The station has assembled an incredible line-up of the world's hottest DJs including Pete Tong, Judge
Jules, Fergie and Dave Pearce who will broadcast their radio shows live from Café Mambo.
Ìý
Also debuting on Radio 1 live from Ibiza will be Zane
Lowe, Vernon Kay and Colin
Murray and Edith Bowman, the latter will
host a special show live on the Saturday afternoon. Ìý
There will be some very special guests joining Radio 1 across the week including Carl
Cox, John Digweed, Sven Vath, Mauro
Picotto, Steve Lawler, Lisa Lashes, Groove
Armada, DJ Oliver and Andre Galuzzi who will be spinning exclusive live DJ sets.

Across the week, Radio 1 will broadcast live from Judgement Sundays, Cocoon,
Space, Â鶹ԼÅÄ Of La Troya, Meganite, Ibiza Rocks, Pure Pacha and Cream.

Finally,
on Saturday there will be a six hour Ibiza special which will give listeners
a round-up of the best of Radio 1's coverage across the week. Ìý
Jason Carter, Editor Live Music, Radio 1, said: "Following on
from our Decade In Ibiza celebrations last year, I'm very proud to unveil our
plans for Radio 1's Week In Ibiza this summer.

"Our Ibiza coverage is one of the key dance moments on Radio 1's live events calendar and this year we will be extending our live coverage across a whole week to give the broadest reflection ever of what's going on from Ibiza.
