Mike Hapgood has been confirmed as the Head of Regional & Local Programmes at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
South East.

Mike was Acting Head of the region for the last two years, covering for Leo
Devine, who has now been confirmed as the Head of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
North West.
Μύ
Mike joined the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ in 1981 as an Education Producer, where his main claim to fame was discovering Simon
Mayo. He subsequently took charge of the celebrations of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Local Radio's 20th anniversary, before moving on to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Solent as Programme Organiser.

After working in Television in Elstree for a time, Mike became Managing Editor of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Radio Bristol, and in 1998 he moved over to be Managing Editor at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Southern Counties Radio.
