Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Essex presenters Steve Scruton and Angela Lodge are in their final days of preparation for the 81-mile Essex Way walk across Essex.
Μύ
Their first steps will be taken from Epping Underground Station on Monday 1 May and their first day ends seven miles later at High Ongar Bridge in Chipping Ongar.
Μύ
The gruelling 13-day schedule will see them cover some of Britain's most beautiful landscapes.
Μύ
Each day involves an average six mile walk with a live broadcast from each location en route.
Μύ
Steve said; "The nerves are starting to set in. It is a long way to cover I just hope I've prepared enough for it.
Μύ
"I'm looking forward to meeting and greeting local people along the route, and hopefully having a few of them joining us along the way."
Μύ
The pair will be raising funds for the Essex Air Ambulance.
Μύ
To find out how the duo are getting on listen each day to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Essex on 95.3 and 103.5 FM or on digital radio.
Μύ
To join Steve and Angela along the way call the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Essex helpline on 01245 348348 or download the walk from bbc.co.uk.
Μύ
The walk is part of the celebrations making Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Essex's 20th anniversary.
Μύ
The walk is a great example of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Essex working in partnership with other organisations to bring the listeners the beauty of the county.
