Friday Night with Jonathan Ross: "We would never have made it on our own," say Ant & Dec

The diminutive giants of prime-time TV Ant & Dec join Jonathan Ross this Friday on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE.

Μύ

On Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, they reveal that they haven't always been best of friends.

Μύ

Dec talks about when they first met as teenagers on Byker Grove: "We didn't particularly like each other at first, I thought he was miserable."

Μύ

Adds Ant: "We've row-ed a few times - we're quite competitive."

Μύ

Dec says: "We lived together for a while, that was testing," about the time they first moved to London. "Ant used to wee on the toilet seat all the time!"

Μύ

But they both acknowledge they wouldn't have been successful without each other. Ant said: "If we hadn't met I don't think we would have got as far."

Μύ

They also talk about life in the jungle on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!, and that they are both scared of animals.

Μύ

Ant:"I've got a phobia of spiders, there were loads in the hotel so that was pretty scary, I had one in my bathroom and I didn't go in there for two days".

Μύ

Dec: "I'm not keen on birds, we had some emus, the scariest of all".

Μύ

They also reveal their dream celebrity hit list, would include Mr T from The A-Team and Christopher Biggins. Ant says: "We always give them [the producers] ideas but they never listen".

Μύ

On why they love the show, Ant said: "It's a loose format, we can have fun and watch them [celebrities], react like everyone does at home. You end up having a laugh."

Μύ

Jonathan also welcomes to the show Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ TWO's The Apprentice ringmaster Sir Alan Sugar who talks about his new life as a TV celebrity, and why he left the world of football: "The football industry has made me a grumpy old sod.

Μύ

"The football media's got the biggest load of brain-dead in it. Every time you said a word, everyone became your enemy. Fortunately I'm out of it, I'm recovering."

Μύ

And the show also includes an appearance from Green Wing star Tamsin Greig, with music from Gorillaz.

Μύ

Friday Night with Jonathan Ross is on Friday 31 March 2006 at 10.40pm on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE.
