Anne Diamond is leaving Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Oxford's breakfast show after 18 months to pursue her writing.

Anne, who is working on a new book, will present her last breakfast programme for the station on Friday, but may return for some special features in the future.

Steve Taschini, Executive Editor of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Oxford, said: "Anne Diamond joined the station in 2004 to lead the new schedule line-up and has been successful in bringing a more youthful style to the breakfast programme.

"Her experience as a national broadcaster has added a special dimension to our local programmes but the lure of national television and other projects has proved too tempting so she has decided to move on in that direction."

Replacing Anne from Monday 20 March is Sybil Ruscoe.

Sybil is an established broadcaster having worked on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 1 and Radio Five Live.
