Peter Fincham, Controller Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE, today announced the appointment of George Dixon, currently Head of Planning and Scheduling, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ TWO, as the new Head of Broadcasting, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE.

This is a new position which takes responsibility for strategic scheduling across the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Television portfolio; the management of key programme brands across multiple platforms; and the key role of planning and scheduling Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE.

George begins his new role with immediate effect.

George Dixon joined the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Television division in 1996 as a Commissioning Assistant and went on to become Deputy Scheduler on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE in 1997.

He moved to Daytime scheduling in 2001, and has been Head of Scheduling and Planning for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ TWO since 2001, working to Controllers Jane Root and Roly Keating.

In his scheduling career at the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, Dixon has been responsible for stripping the Simpsons across the early evening schedule five nights a week; launching 24 in a 10.00pm slot on Sunday; and re-launching Top Gear at 8.00pm on Sundays.
