Pier Productions has secured its first commission following a successful bid for development support from the regional development initiative, You Don't Have To Live In London, set up by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Entertainment Commissioning last year.

Pier will make a one hour documentary for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ TWO celebrating the centenary of the Scout Movement.

It will include memories, funny stories and anecdotes from a wide range of well-known faces to mark this very British institution.

The programme will be executive produced by Christine Chambers for Pier and Gilly Hall for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.

Jane Lush, Controller of Entertainment Commissioning at the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, says: "Pier is an established supplier of drama and factual programmes for Radio 4 with The Afternoon Play and Making History as some of their credits.

"We are delighted to be working with the company on its first television commission. It's great to see our relationships with the beneficiaries of the You Don't Have To Live In London fund bearing fruit so quickly."
