The Schools Cup double-header of finals on St Patrick's Day will be
shown live on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ TWO Northern Ireland.
Coverage of the two games from Casement Park and Ravenhill on Thursday
17 March starts at 1.00pm.
First up is the MacRory Cup Gaelic final from Casement, presented by
Jerome Quinn. Throw in is at 1.15pm with St Louis,
Kilkeel, taking on Omagh CBS.
St Louis, have made the final at their first attempt and first year
in the competition while opponents Omagh CBS haven't won the MacRory
outright for more than 30 years (1974).
Digital viewers will have a choice of listening to match commentators
Mark Sidebottom and Enda Gormley or,
if they press the red button on their remote control, they can select
fans' commentary with Austin O'Callaghan and pundits
representing each school.
At 3.00pm the action switches to Ravenhill for the rugby final with
the clash of the big two from Belfast - Methody and RBAI. Kick-off is
at 3.00pm.
Jackie Fullerton introduces the action with Jim
Neilly and Philip Rainey in the commentary
box.
The two schools have dominated the competition over the years while
it's a swansong for Methody coach David Wells who's looking to sign-off
with an 11th outright victory in the Cup.
Again, viewers can choose the alternative fans' commentary, by pressing
the red button, with Michael McNamee and pundits from
the schools.
