Warren Clarke and Colin Buchanan star as Dalziel and Pascoe

Chance to turn detective on Dalziel & Pascoe

Dalziel and Pascoe, the crime busting detective duo from the top Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE series, are joining forces off-screen to take part in a very special event to celebrate Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Birmingham's new television drama village.

Dalziel and Pascoe, aka Warren Clarke and Colin Buchanan, will be the focus of An Audience With Dalziel & Pascoe at the Great Hall, Birmingham University, on Monday 14 March.

The event will be hosted by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ WM's Ed Doolan, starting at 7.30pm and finishing at 9.15pm.

Colin Buchanan says: "The evening gives you the chance to interrogate us for a change! You can ask us anything about the series, our careers, football - anything really.

"It promises to be a fun evening and we're delighted to have Ed on board as the host - or referee, which is more likely!"

Entry is free but places must be booked in advance. To book please call 0121 567 7427.

Now in its tenth series, Dalziel & Pascoe's intriguing blend of classic murder mysteries, compelling characters and down-to-earth humour has won the series millions of viewers.

Warren Clarke is the idiosyncratic, no-nonsense copper, Dalziel, with a penetrating wit and questionable personal habits.

Colin Buchanan is the perfect foil as Pascoe, his cultured side-kick.

Warren Clarke is one of Britain's best known actors - being a stalwart of British drama since the Seventies.

Born in Oldham in 1947, his long list of credits include Down To Earth, The Sweeney, Jewel In The Crown and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

Before landing the role of Pascoe, Colin Buchanan played Hodge in the award-winning army drama All Quiet On The Preston Front, with other credits including Heartbeat, Moll Flanders and the film Red Hot.

Colin lives in Birmingham with his family and is a big fan of Birmingham City Football Club.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Birmingham's television drama unit is now based at Birmingham University's Selly Oak campus, with a purpose built set on site for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE daytime series Doctors.

There are over 100 staff and artists based at the village, and the current output also includes the popular Afternoon Play series and a new series of drama shorts for daytime called Brief Encounters.
