Cutting It regulars Sarah Parish, Jason Merrells and Angela Griffin are joined by ex-Casualty star Christine Stephen-Daly and James Murray (North Square, A&E) when Debbie Horsfield's popular hairdressing drama series returns to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE later this year.

Μύ

Following the dramatic departure of Allie's husband Finn and Gavin's partner Ruby at the end of series three, all eyes are on Allie and Gavin who are happily back together, although once-bitten Gavin is wavering over marriage, and Allie has big business plans.

Μύ

As well as running her popular hairdressing salon, Allie opens her own hairdressing academy, to inspire a new generation of hairdressers.

Μύ

The venture has financial backing from Liam Carney (James Murray), an ex-boy-band member and self confessed celibate who is trying to shake off the trappings of his past life with mixed success.

Μύ

When Allie discovers she might be pregnant she thinks she can have it all - Gavin, the baby, her salon, the academy. Fate, however, has other plans.

Μύ

Also, there is trouble on the horizon when the beautiful and talented Melissa (Christine Stephen-Daly) arrives in town and gets the job of academy Styles Director with a little underhand help from a secretly-besotted Liam.

Μύ

At the same time Melissa has to deal with Troy Gillespie (David Leon) vying for her affection, and a secret which threatens to reveal itself at any moment.

Μύ

"We are absolutely thrilled Christine and James have decided to join the cast of Cutting It," says Sally Haynes, executive producer.

Μύ

"The combination of new and familiar faces, and Debbie Horsfield's sparkling scripts, will add another dimension to the glamorous, funny and beautifully observed world of hairdressing we all know.

Μύ

"Plus the opening of Allie's hairdressing academy also heralds great fun for the future!"

Μύ

The cast also includes Angela Griffin as Darcey Henshall; Sian Reeves as Sydney Henshall; Annette Badland as Brawdie Henshall, Allie's mum; Bill Thomas is Tom Henshall, Allie's dad; Pearce Quigley as Eugene; James Midgley is Shane Ince; and David Leon plays busker turned stylist, Troy Gillespie.

Μύ

Currently filming in Manchester for transmission on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE.

Μύ

Cutting It is produced by Kate Crowe, the directors are Phil John, David Kerr and Fraser Macdonald and executive producers are Sally Haynes, Debbie Horsfield and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Head of Drama Series & Serials Laura Mackie.
