Presenter David White will be livening up Saturday mornings across the county with a new programme on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Cornwall from 22 January.

Μύ

The David White show will be a mixture of his popular week programme features with a few added extras for the weekend.

Μύ

Celebrity guests will be keeping David company in the studio as he'll play his popular selection of chart topping hits and golden oldies.

Μύ

David says: "I can't wait, I really can't wait Β– even though I'm giving up my lie-in!

Μύ

"Saturday's my favourite day of the week. People aren't working, everyone's in a good mood Β– it's going to be so much fun."

Μύ

There will be new quizzes on Saturday to entertain the listeners and David wants to hear from all kinds of sports teams who'd like to take part in his penalty shoot out with a difference.

Μύ

Netball teams will be challenging football teams, and gymnastic teams will be up against rugby clubs as David puts their knowledge to the test.

Μύ

Budding presenters, researchers and trailmakers take note as David is searching for a new side kick.

Μύ

'Apprentice' will see reality radio at it's best as the hopefuls will be given a variety of tasks from making adverts to placing features in the local newspapers to see if they can make the grade.

Μύ

For further information or to enter your sports team into the quiz please email davidwhiteshow@bbc.co.uk

Μύ

David is no stranger to Saturday mornings on Radio Cornwall as he started his career 17 years ago presenting in exactly the same slot.

Μύ

He's also worked for various Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ radio stations including Radio 2.

Μύ

"Once I was working promoting Jonathan Ross and now IΒ’m up against him on Saturday mornings," he says.

Μύ

Also new to the schedule will be a Saturday afternoon programme with the crazy duo Pam and Debs.

Μύ

Earlybird Naomi Rowe kicks off Sunday mornings and Tim Hubbard takes a break from his usual news-based programme as he invites you to make the most of your Sunday mornings.

Μύ

With features on gardening, cooking, reading and walking there will be plenty of inspiration for weekend activities.

Μύ

Nicci Holiday, Managing Editor of Radio Cornwall, is extremely excited about the new weekend schedule.

Μύ

"It's a brand new feel to our weekends with all your favourite presenters," she says.

Μύ
