1Xtra announces Xtra Bass Week 2005

Today, 1Xtra announced its third Xtra Bass Week, a week of live Drum & Bass broadcasts from Monday 28 February to Saturday 5 March 2005.

2005's Xtra Bass Week will broadcast 24 hours of live radio and will be touching down in ten cities across six days with some of the freshest D&B talent in the UK right now.

The Xtra Bass Week finale will be on Saturday 5 March from 11.00pm to 4.00am.

Ìý

The finale will be a unique five city broadcast over five hours with 1Xtra's entire D&B DJ roster L Double, Flight, Bailey, Friction and Sappo who will representing across the length and breadth of the UK all in one night.


The tour will visit Portsmouth, Cardiff, Nottingham, Sheffield, London, Cambridge, Liverpool, Belfast, Manchester and Bristol.

On each date of the tour 1Xtra will be joined by the best D&B talent such as Andy C, High Contrast, Hype, Fabio, Grooverider, Breakage, D-Bridge, Dynamite MC, MC Rage and more.

In addition, the regular drum & bass shows will remain on 1Xtra but will be broadcast live from a secret location at one of the Xtra Bass Week 2005 cities.


Drum & Bass continues its ascension in 2005, with almost a 15 year heritage and the support of a healthy 1Xtra listenership, the Xtra Bass Week 2005 looks set to be more successful than ever before.
