1. What's the hardest word you've ever had to spell?
Hieroglyphics.
2. How do you remember how to spell words?
I look at each word and break it up into syllables.
3. Do spelling tests help you remember?
Yes.
4. Have you always been good at spelling?
Yes, I have been good at spelling ever since Year 3.
5. Were the words in the competition easier or harder than you
expected?
I knew the words I had to spell but I thought everyone else's words
were harder.
6. What was the most difficult part of the competition?
The most difficult part was near the end before there were seven people
left.
7. What did you enjoy most about it?
I enjoyed standing up at the end when I found that I was one of the
five finalists and seeing my parents' faces.
8. What's your favourite word?
My favourite word is hieroglyphics.
9. What are your hobbies/interests?
My hobbies are knitting, playing the piano, drama, dance and reading.
10. What's your ambition?
My ambition is to write a book or take part in the production of a
movie.
