acts VS and I Dream will perform at the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in
Need concert in Carlisle later this month.
They will line up alongside three other acts from the region performing
songs at the gig in Devonshire Walk on Friday 19 November to
mark the 25th anniversary of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need on television.
One other big name performer is set to be announced next week along
with the name of the host for the event, which will broadcast on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
ONE.
I Dream said: "We're really looking forward to performing at Carlisle.
It'll be a great night, and hopefully raise a lot of money for a fantastic
cause."

The performers from the region are Pop, Sirens
and newcomer Nick Barrett, who won a recent CΒι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ contest for a search
for a new songwriter.

Nick said: "Playing in such a big event is going
to be incredible, particularly in front of my northern crowd. It's one
of the biggest charity events of the year and it will be an honour and
a huge buzz to be part of it.Β”
Sirens, who have been working with Jamelia and Beverley Knight's producer
DJ Munrow, said: "We're really excited to be performing at the
Children In Need event in Carlisle. It's a great charity to be involved
with."

Last year's Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need appeal raised Β£30m.
Producer Sue Wilkinson said: "We are really excited that we have
managed to secure such a talented line up to perform at the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children
in Need concert in Carlisle.

"We're sure they will all prove to be hugely popular
with music fans in the city.
"But there's more to come! Watch out for announcements on another
big name act in the weeks or so.

"And we'll also be announcing the comperes for
the event very soon."
Sue added: "Things are really hotting up now and there's not long
to go to the big night.

"We've got a lot to do in the next few weeks to
prepare for the event Β– but we're working flat out to ensure it's
a night to remember."
