Poll suggests nearly half believe Labour stand a better chance at next election if Blair not leader


In an exclusive NOP poll for today's Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ TWO Daily Politics programme, 46 per cent of those asked thought Labour would stand a better chance at the next General Election if Tony Blair was not the party leader.


41% disagreed with the statement.


More than two-thirds of respondents thought increased taxes were not making a "real impact in improving public services".


The poll will feature in Daily Politics on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ TWO today (Tuesday 30 September), 11.30am-1.00pm and 2.00-4.00pm.


Of those surveyed, 29% agreed that Tony Blair would make the best Prime Minister following the next General Election, whereas 60% disagreed.
