Epic New Drama Parade’s End to start on the Nine Network Australia

Parade’s End, the highly anticipated co-production between ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ, HBO and Mammoth Screen, will premier to Australian audiences on the Nine Network in 2013 following a deal with ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide Australia.

Adapted for television by acclaimed screenwriter Sir Tom Stoppard, Parade’s End (5x60’, A ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ, HBO, Lookout Point and Mammoth Screen Co-production) features a star-studded cast including Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock), Rebecca Hall (Vicky Christina Barcelona), Anne-Marie Duff (Nowhere Boy), Australian actress Adelaide Clemens (Silent Hill: Revelation 3D) and Rupert Everett (Stardust).

Hailed as one of the great masterpieces of twentieth century literature, Parade’s End tells an epic story of love and betrayal set against the dying years of the Edwardian era and the First World War. This landmark series moves from the shallow world of London high society to the trench-scarred battlefields of France; from the bustling streets of Paris to the rich sweep of the English countryside, weaving the tale of a love triangle between an English Aristocrat, his wife and a young suffragette.

β€œEpic tales of love and war are the stuff that memorable television drama events are made of,” said Kaye Warren, ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide Australia’s Head of TV Sales. β€œThe sheer pedigree of talent behind Parade’s End is a guarantee that Australian audiences are in for a treat”.

"I am really delighted to partner with ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide on this marquee drama from Sir Tom Stoppard and David Parfitt," added Michael Healy of the Nine Network,” added Michael Healy of the Nine Network.

The recipient of an Academy Award, a BAFTA, four Tony Awards, four Critics’ Circle Awards, seven Evening Standard Awards and multiple Oliviers, Sir Tom Stoppard is one of the most important writers of our time. The adaptation of Ford Madox Ford’s Parade’s End marks Stoppard’s long-awaited return to television after almost 20 years.
