Match of the Day magazine launches search for junior John Motson

The hunt is on for the next John Motson, as Match of the Day magazine has launched a competition to find the country's best junior reporter. The market leading youth football title has teamed up with the FA and FootballFanCast.com to run the competition to find 'MOTD's Superkid Reporter' with the winning prize, the chance to interview one of the winning FA Cup finalists and two tickets to watch the FA Cup Final at Wembley on 14 May. They also get their interview printed in Match of the Day magazine. The closing date to enter the competition is midnight on 5 May.

Participants will need to submit five questions they would like to ask a Premier League ace for the magazine interview. The questions need to be 'interesting, funny and downright random.' An expert football panel, including Football Focus presenter Dan Walker, will decide whose five questions are the best.

According to Match of the Day magazine editor Ian Foster: "We interview the Premier League's top stars every week and we think it's time to give our loyal readers the chance to have a go themselves. They'll need to be think of some great questions and make Football Focus presenter Dan Walker, our guest judge, look over his shoulder."

According to Scott Field, head of media relations at the FA: "The FA Cup is still the biggest and best cup competition in the world, and we're really excited to be working with Match of the Day magazine to give you, the readers, a chance to see the final and report on it. Whatever happens the Final will be full of colour and excitement and we'll look forward to welcoming the winner to Wembley."

The full details of the competition are in this week's Match of the Day magazine, on sale now.
