Steven Gerrard, not John Terry, is the most popular choice of England captain, according to a poll of young footy fans. The poll of 1,372 young visitors to (the website of Match of the Day magazine) found the Liverpool talisman polled more than double the votes of John Terry when fans were asked who the next England captain should be. 52% of those who voted said they wanted to see Gerrard take the armband, with just 21.5% plumping for Terry. There was a further blow for Rio Ferdinand, following Capello's decision to hand the captaincy to Terry as only 15.38% wanted to see him as skipper. Wayne Rooney received just 11.22% of votes.
