Lonely Planet Magazine launches in Korea

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Magazines brings Lonely Planet Magazine to Korea, making it the eighth international edition of the publication since its launch in the UK in 2008.

Lonely Planet Magazine Korea is published by Ahn Graphics, a publisher specialising in travel and design - and which also publishes Lonely Planet guidebooks in Korean.

The first issue of Lonely Planet Magazine Korea went on sale on 25 February 2011, with a 10,000 print run and a cover price of 7, 000 Korean won (approximately Β£3.85 GBP). The editor of the Korean version is Taewoo Hur.

NOTES TO EDITORS

Lonely Planet Magazine launched in the UK in November 2008 and at its last ABC recorded a circulation of 60,106, making it the number one actively purchased travel magazine in the UK. The title combines the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's expertise in quality programming on travel and world cultures with Lonely Planet's reputation as a leading global travel brand. The magazine is now available in the UK, Korea, Brazil, France, Spain, Asia (Singapore), Argentina, Philippines, India (under a joint venture agreement), with more international deals in the pipeline.
