Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide's Channels business announced today it is launching three brand new Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ channels in Malaysia; Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Knowledge, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Lifestyle and CBeebies will be available on Telekom Malaysia Berhad's (TM) HyppTV platform starting 29 March.

The launch of the channels will represent the first time that Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Knowledge and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Lifestyle and CBeebies will be available to audiences in Malaysia.

Mark Whitehead, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide Channels Asia, commented on the launch of the three channels: "We are excited to be part of TM’s project to bring broadband and IPTV to all of Malaysia."

"Malaysia is an important market for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide and our partnership with TM builds on our commitment to bring great quality programming to more viewers in Asia," he added.

TM's IPTV service will be available to all their High Speed Broadband and broadband subscribers free of charge from March until September 2010,

The new Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ channels on HyppTV

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Knowledge showcases to high-quality factual entertainment from Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, the world’s foremost producer of non-fiction and documentary programming, including the latest series of Top Gear, the BAFTA and multi-NTA and Emmy Award-winning Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ television programme watched by over 150 million households in more than 100 countries. Other programmes on the channel include The Apprentice (UK) and Dragon's Den.
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Knowledge will be available on Channel 141.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Lifestyle offers inspiration for home, family and life. The channel offers six strands of programming to entertain engage and inspire viewers - home and design, food, personal development, fashion and style, health and parenting. Popular programmes on the channel include How to Look Good Naked, Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live and Grand Designs.
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Lifestyle will be available on Channel 140.

CBeebies, the channel for pre-school children provides a high-quality, interactive, entertaining and educational experience for pre-school children, offering them a safe haven in which to learn about, and enjoy, the world around them. CBeebies offers internationally-acclaimed and award-winning household favourites such as Teletubbies, In the Night Garden and Charlie & Lola.
Programmes on the channel emphasise educational entertainment and are supported by the core Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ values, ensuring they are trustworthy, reliable and informative. CBeebies provides a safe, non-violent environment for the channel’s viewers.
CBeebies will be available on Channel 130.
