Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide, the commercial arm of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, has completed sales deals around the world for new animated children's series Wibbly Pig.

The appealing new series (52 x 10') from the creators and producers of Tweenies, Wish Films, has been sold to national broadcaster ABC TV Australia, for transmission later in 2010.

TVB in Hong Kong, EBS in Korea and RTE in Eire have also licensed the show, and it will be seen throughout Africa and Latin America on CBeebies. Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide also holds licensing and DVD rights in these territories.

Wibbly Pig, adapted by Will Brenton from the books by the award-winning author Mick Inkpen, is a warm and engaging animation for pre-schoolers. It takes children on a journey of exploration and adventure through familiar rituals such as bedtime, mealtime and games with their best friend Wibbly Pig at their side. Using logic and imagination, each episode invites the child into a simple world free from day to day limitations, and engages them in an active and interactive experience.

Commenting on the Australian acquisition, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide's Australian Sales Director Julie Dowding said, "ABC TV is a fantastic platform for Wibbly Pig. It is a wonderfully engaging new property and I know that it will resonate with pre-schoolers in Australia and around the world."
