Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide appoints Chris Mooney as Top Gear web editor

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide, the commercial arm of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, has recruited Chris Mooney to be the new web editor of topgear.com. Chris will oversee the editorial development of which is the commercial site for the Top Gear brand.

Chris brings to the role ten years of experience in the digital space. He joins Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide from Bauer Media where he is currently the editor-in-chief of digital men's brand FHM.com. Under Chris's leadership, FHM.com has become an award-winning site having won the PPA Website of the Year award three times and was also awarded Best Consumer Website at the Association of Online Publisher's awards in 2009. His work also expands across other Bauer Media international brands including Zoo magazine.

Prior to this role, Chris worked as Editorial Director for FHM and Arena brands and was primarily responsible for launching these titles in Asian and European markets. Before joining Bauer Media (formally Emap), Chris worked as broadcast journalist for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ online where he looked after football coverage on the emerging online newsdesk.

Commenting on his new role, Chris said, "I have always admired the dynamism of the Top Gear brand which is evident in its magazine and website. I'm delighted to be a part of the website's ongoing digital development and hope that I can continue to create an online space that fans will keep coming back to time and time again."

Chris will join Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide on the 29th March 2010.
