CBeebies unveils first presenter for Latin American and US Hispanic audiences

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide Channels has unveiled Roser CabaΓ±as as the first host for CBeebies in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market.

Starting this October, viewers will be able to watch 24 year-old Roser on screen and on the web, as she encourages pre-schoolers to learn through play during program breaks. Produced entirely in Spanish, the segments will focus on leveraging the educational benefits of the channel's award-winning series through entertainment, age-appropriate activities and games that support the curriculum of the programmes.

The segments have been designed with input from early development specialists and were filmed at the CBeebies multi-area set, in London's Teddington Studios. The location is home to a long list of bright and talented stars who entertain CBeebies' viewers in the UK, Australia, Poland, Africa and Asia.

Jessica Rodriguez, Senior VP and General Manager, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide Latin America and U.S. Hispanic said: "We are thrilled with the opportunity to reproduce this global strategy at a local level, bringing such an energetic Latin American talent as Roser to the homes of our viewers. It reflects our strong commitment to continue to offer quality programming that is relevant to our markets."

"It was an exciting experience to be in the same set where my CBeebies colleagues from around the world also film their segments. As a host, you have to give all you have to live up to the dedication, creativity and expertise of the production team and make sure that you are offering the children something that is really educational but contagiously fun," commented Roser on her first experience filming the segments.

Roser's passion for film and television was awakened when she was exposed to her father's 8mm films. Growing up, she took acting, dance, theatre and television production classes. She was featured in numerous television commercials and print campaigns in the United States and has also hosted many television shows. Roser has a Bachelor in Business Administration.

Modelled on the UK's number one, BAFTA-winning children's channel, CBeebies launched in Mexico in August 2008 and today reaches 3.6 million subscribers in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. CBeebies brings to preschoolers educational, yet entertaining programming with the quality and integrity of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ name. Award-winning series such as In the Night Garden, Charlie and Lola, Tweenies, and Teletubbies provide a wide range of themes such as music, movement, storytelling and art, and promote learning through active play. CBeebies also offers parents and caregivers a trustworthy viewing environment for their children, and supports the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's core values to inform, educate and entertain.
