Magazines sets-up a dedicated Food Group and appoints new Publisher
A new
Publisher has been appointed to take charge of the newly established
Food Group within Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Magazines. The Food Group consists of Olive
- the most exciting new food magazine launch of the year and market-leader
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Good Food magazine, as well as special one-shots like Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Good
Food Pasta Cookbook and Vegetarian magazine.
Nicki
Hill takes up her position as Food Group Publisher in January bringing
with her a wealth of experience from an advertising and magazine
background. Prior to joining Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Magazines, Nicki worked at Forward
Group as Group Account Director and was responsible for managing
and growing the turnover of TescoΒ’s contract publishing business.
Before Forward Group, Nicki ran her own training and consultancy
firm for the media and advertising business for nine years. NickiΒ’s
other credentials include director level positions at Southern Radio,
The Observer and European Magazines Ltd.
Meanwhile,
Orlando Murrin becomes Editorial Director of the Food Group. Orlando
joined Good Food as Editor in October 1997, steering the title through
six successive circulation rises and gaining the magazine an international
reputation as an authority on home cooking. He will oversee the
Food GroupΒ’s strategy and vision over the crucial months and
years ahead.
Gillian
Carter, who joined Good Food a year ago as Deputy Editor, will become
Good FoodΒ’s new editor. She previously worked at IPC on Woman
and as Editor of Family Circle, where she launched the successful
Kids in the Kitchen Campaign.
