Unforgettable Places To See Before You Die by Steve Davey

Unforgettable Places to See Before You Die is the first in a new series of books that will introduce you to a host of spectacular places that can all be visited in a regular two-week holiday or less.

As we work longer hours our leisure time has become ever more valuable and increasingly it's how we spend it that counts. For many of us lying on a beach for two weeks just doesn't cut it any more - we want adventure, new experiences, beautiful sights, wildlife, ancient monuments and alternative cultures. Many people have discovered that these kind of holidays offer us the chance to grow and expand our horizons.

In Unforgettable Places to See Before You Die international travel writer and photographer, Steve Davey, draws on his years of experience and selects forty of his personal favourite destinations that will inspire you to think beyond your office walls. Some of the locations are relatively well-known such as the Taj Mahal and the Alhambra in Spain but most are off the beaten track, such as Angkor Wat in Cambodia - breath-taking Buddhist temples which were lost for years in deep jungle. Some involve relatively comfortable journeys, whilst others involve trekking across the wilderness to see the rock-hewn churches at Lalibela in Ethiopia or watching the sunrise over the Himalayas in Nepal.

This inspiring book is highly illustrated and aimed at style-conscious travellers looking for new sights and experiences around the world.

Unforgettable Places to See Before You Die is the first in a new series which will include Unforgettable Things To Do Before You Die and Wild Places to See Before You Die.

The Author Since graduating with a BA in Photography in 1988 Steve Davey has travelled extensively, researching and illustrating features about places most of us only ever dream about. Steve's work has been published in magazines, books and newspapers all over the world, including Wanderlust, Footprint Guides, Rough Guides, The Independent, Geographical Magazine, Insight Guides and numerous in-flight magazines. In addition, Steve has co-written and illustrated two books on digital photography and has produced four anthologies of travel writing. He is also a regular contributor to Total Digital Photography Magazine.

Unforgettable Places To See Before You Die is published on 4th March, 2004 (Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Books, Β£18.99)
