Worldwide's award-winning software publishing division, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Multimedia,
is planning to appeal further to Balamory's young fans with the
release of a PC CD-ROM game in the New Year. BAFTA award-winning,
Glasgow-based Absolute Studios will be developing an interactive
game which, through series of fun activities, will help children
to develop key skills including spelling and letter recognition,
matching numbers and recognising familiar character and objects.
Since
Balamory first aired in Autumn 2002, the daily adventures of the
residents of the fictional Scottish seaside town along with songs,
poems, dances have charmed and delighted the nation's children.
The colourful town of Tobermory in the Isle of Mull where some of
the scenes for the programme are filmed, has experienced a large
increase in visitors hoping to catch sight of some of their favourite
characters.
