Food makes European cable debut
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Worldwide's food channel, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Food, is now available on cable for
the first time in Europe with its introduction on UPC Sweden. This
agreement follows only three months after the digital satellite
launch of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Food in Europe and extends channel availability to
an additional 275,000 subscriber homes in Sweden.
Announcing
the agreement, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide Head of Channels, Susanne Gallagher,
said, "This is Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Food's inaugural appearance in the European
cable market and a great indication of the channel's appeal so soon
after its launch. We are very pleased to be providing Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Food to
UPC, one of Sweden's leading cable networks, and building further
on our cooperation with UPC across Europe."

Food showcases the best of food programming from around the world
including The Naked Chef (Jamie Oliver), Delia's How to Cook (Delia
smith) and Ready Steady Cook (Ainsley Harriott). World famous chef,
Ken Hom, will lead September with a series of Asian wok series and
Keith Floyd hosts Floyd's Fjord Fiesta - a culinary journey through
Scandinavia.

Food is available as part of UPC Sweden's digital offering from
September 1, 2003. Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Food is also available in Denmark during
September on the Wish Channel of leading cable network, TDC, and
on several other large cable networks.
