World appoints Seema Kotecha as Head of Marketing
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
World, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's commercially funded international 24-hour news
and information television channel, has appointed Seema Kotecha
as Head of Marketing. Based in the company headquarters in London
and working closely with Director of Marketing, Jane Gorard, Seema
is responsible for developing the Marketing strategy for the channel
and managing the international team which is based in London, Singapore
and Delhi. In this role Seema will also work collaboratively with
marketing teams across the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, in particular with respective colleagues
in the recently formed global news division (which includes Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
World Service).
Immediately
prior to joining Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ World, Seema worked as Marketing Controller
at BSkyB in London where she was responsible for developing and
implementing the annual marketing plan for Sky, focusing on increasing
subscribers in the business market. Seema has also worked for Virgin
Atlantic Airways Ltd., where she held the post of Marketing Communications
Manager, managing a team responsible for several award-winning campaigns.
Prior to this she worked as the European Marketing Manager with
Debonair Airways Ltd. Managing the European marketing communications
team implementing a campaign incorporating advertising, direct mail,
promotions, PR, new media, trade and loyalty marketing.
A fluent
French, Spanish and Gujerati speaker, Seema has a degree in European
Studies and Languages from Manchester Metropolitan University and
the University of Granada and worked as an intern in the European
Commission in Brussels.
