Fools and Horses - Miami Twice
DVD released by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide 19 May 2003
The
Trotters and their troubles go transatlantic in this, the most popular
of the feature-length specials which first broadcast at Christmas
1991. Featuring over 2 hours and 20 minutes of chaos and confusion,
the episode is menu driven with scene selection.
When
Rodney (NICHOLAS LYNDHURST) receives an unexpected windfall from
the printing firm's pension fund, Del (DAVID JASON) suggests he
buys two tickets to Miami for him and Cassandra (GWYNETH STRONG)
for a trip of a lifetime. However, when Cassandra can't go, who
else could Rodney take in her place but Del, who's in a bit of bother
over some Rumanian Riesling and needs to lay low for a while.
However,
despite sun, sea and 79 TV channels, the boys soon find trouble.
Pretty soon their luggage has been stolen, Del's been mistaken for
a Mafia Don and the mob are planning to bump him off so the real
Don can escape undetected. Add Boycie (JOHN CHALLIS) and Marlene
(SUE HOLDERNESS) on holiday, a runaway jet ski and a swamp full
of alligators into the mix and the mean streets of Peckham begin
to look very welcome indeed!
Will
Del realise he's a Godfather's double before he and Rodney get an
offer they can't refuse?
Only
Fools And Horses - Miami Twice also features TESSA PEAKE-JONES (Raquel),
ROGER LLOYD-PACK (Trigger) and BUSTER MERRYFIELD (Uncle Albert),
and was originally transmitted in two parts (The American Dream
and Oh To Be In England) on 24 and 25 December 1991.
