03.03.03 Teletubbies
inspire children to Get Caught Reading
To
promote the pleasures of reading, the Teletubbies joined a host
of famous names in the third year of the Get Caught Reading Campaign
in aid of World of Book Day, which was held on March 6th. It is
the biggest celebration of books and reading in the UK and special
posters show the foursome looking through a Teletubbies book to
show young children that books can be fun.
To
get children even more excited about reading, 19th May sees the
launch of four new vibrant books from Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide based on the
award-winning Teletubbies series. The pages are bursting with vivid
colours and shapes designed to stimulate young children.
The
Teletubbies enjoy reading books and through their love of reading,
children are encouraged to develop a life-long affection for words,
numbers and pictures.

to find, making it a busy day for children and the Teletubbies.
Clever
Noo-noo! board book Β£4.99 (ISBN 0563 532 904)
Clever Noo-noo! is a funny story book. In it the Teletubbies are
playing indoors and making a lot of mess. Of course, the Noo-noo
comes to their rescue, and tidies up after them.
The
novelty of this book is that it also features a felt finger puppet
of the Noo-noo die-cut through it, which allows interactivity between
the reader and the book. The puppet is attached to the back cover
and 'pops' through a circular hole in every page of the book helping
the child to pretend that they are the Noo-noo helping to clear
up after the Teletubbies.
