Lightning strikes across the world
Ace
Lightning - Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide's pre-teen CGI super hero is shaping to
be an international smash hit, as the company concludes a raft of
new TV sales deals to Nickleodeon Spain, SIC Portugal, RAI 2 Italy,
Televisa Mexico, Telfe Argentina, Teleamazonas Equador, PBS Malta
and LMK Lithuania.
Launched
at the MipTV international television programme market in April
2002, Ace Lightning has already been licensed to 24 international
broadcasters including ZDF and children's channel KiKa in Germany,
VRT and RTBF Belgium, HMG Netherlands, TVB Hong Kong ABC Australia,
TVNZ New Zealand, Disney France and France 2, KTV South Africa,
IVM Indonesia, Juita Viden Malaysia, Disney Middle East and TV12
Singapore.
In
addition, the series' co-producer, Alliance Atlantis Communications
Inc. has secured a deal with CBC in Canada and VRAK TV for French
Canadian audiences.

Ace Lightning uses a combination of cutting-edge computer-generated
imagery and live-action and follows the adventures of 13 year-old
Mark Hollander and our hero Ace Lightning, as they battle to defeat
evil Lord Fear and his evil gang. Created and executive produced
by Rick Siggelkow, Ace Lightning is a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide co-production
with AAC Kids.
Ace Lightning premiered in the UK on the CΒι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ digital channel in
Autumn 2002, and the second 13 episodes will transmit on CΒι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ on
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE from 8 April 2003.
In
the UK, Ace Lightning's licensing activity is underway following
the launch of publishing, merchandise and multimedia products.
