Times' website reveals 'TV Tastes' Poll results

Times' official website, ,
has released the results of its series of weekly online polls conducted
to ascertain TV audience tastes over the past six months.
Over
6,000 people logged on to the website to take part in the wide-ranging
survey that asked questions as varied as who should Martin Bashir
interview next? - to which channel had the best festive programme
line-up?
Among
the more interesting findings revealed were that 74% of television
viewers thought that Michael Palin was better suited to exploring
than comedy; 80% of those surveyed thought that Footballer's Wives
was just plain bad - while 20% believed it to be so bad, that it
was good; and amazingly, when visitors to the website were asked
to nominate their favourite C4 programme, Countdown came in first
with 32% of the votes.
Other
questions posed by the listing magazine's online team included asking
users if the public's love affair with Blind Date was over?; which
has been the best TV spin-off series?; and what's the best motoring
programme on TV?
Radio
Times website is visited by over 250,00 users per month and it provides
a comprehensive listings service which can be downloaded to both
PDA (personal digital assistant) devices as well as mobile phones
(Vodafone Live! service).
