The

screen in Australia following Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide's significant new deal
with public broadcaster ABC.
The
drama, starring Richard Roxburgh (Moulin Rouge), Ian Hart (Harry
Potter & the Philosopher's Stone) and Richard E Grant (Withnail
and I, Gosford Park) is part of a major programming package licensed
by the broadcaster across all genres. Further drama programming
includes Spooks, Rescue Me, Cutting It, Man & Boy, Dossa &
Joe, Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and Dalziel & Pascoe.
The
deal, concluded on the eve of Mipcom 2002 (7-11 October) also includes
the landmark natural history series Life of Mammals. From the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Wildlife Special strand comes Elephants - Spy in the Herd, and Be
a Shark! starring Robo-Shark - the latest technological breakthrough
in wildlife filming. Other titles include Michael Palin's latest
globetrotting adventure Sahara, Inside Animals, and from the makers
of global hit The Human Body, Walking with Cavemen. From Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children's,
Ace Lightning was an electrifying choice for the ABC.
Julie
Dowding, Head of Sales Australasia, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide said, "The
programmes licensed to the ABC are some of the highest quality productions
coming from the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ this year. This line-up is testament to the
ABC's commitment to bringing their Australian audience the best
and widest variety of programming available."
