Get Messy on PC CD-ROM
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Multimedia, the Best Children's Software Company 2001*, is publishing
a Tweenies PC CD-ROM, based on the 'Messy Time' section of the leading
children's TV show.
The
new software builds on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Multimedia's highly successful portfolio
of Tweenies titles. The BIMA and Right Start Best Toy Award winning
Tweenies - Ready to Play on PC dominated the children's software
charts throughout 2000 and 2001, having been the biggest selling
children's CD-ROM in 2000 [Chart Track].
The
sing-a-long follow up CD-ROM, Tweenies - Play to the Music, has
recently been recognised with a 2002 IVCA Gold Award in the Interactive
Multimedia Publishing category.
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Multimedia has also taken the colourful foursome to other platforms
- with the PlayStation title Tweenies - Game Time and Doodles' Bones
on Game Boy Color.
The
Tweenies TV programme has been sold to 45 countries around the world
and is centred around the bright and colourful world of Bella, Milo,
Fizz and Jake. Each of the characters, aged between 3 and 5 have
a distinctive look, are full of imaginative ideas and enthusiasm
and exhibit all the characteristics of the young audience watching
at home. As well as the Tweenies characters, the series includes
two loveable pets, adult characters Judy and Max, and Doodles and
Izzles - both of which are featured in the latest interactive product.
The
latest Tweenies PC CD-ROM focuses on creative play and 'make &
do' activities that are featured during Messy Time in the TV programme.
Unlike traditional 'Art Pack' software, the Tweenies CD-ROM's activities
allow children to experience, through their computer, some of the
messier moments of the show they can't do in the home. Children
are guaranteed to have lots of fun!
These
fun and educational activities include:
- Jungle
Maker: Make a jungle collage and match the sounds to the animals,
then watch the whole scene animate and even turn to night!
- Colourful
windows: Judy is admiring stained glass windows. Make pictures
and shapes for the Tweenies' (its many windows in various houses)
then see the lovely patterns as the light shines through.
- Baking:
Learn to make bread with special Tweenie ingredients and you might
end up with some messy and funny results!
- Dot
to Dot: Join up the dots on the little pictures and watch as the
whole scene comes to life when you've finished.
- Recycling:
Put things in the recycling machine and see what comes out! Can
you make the things the Tweenies ask for out of the old junk?
All
these activities play differently depending on which Tweenie you
choose to be your playmate. A video clip from the TV programme giving
background to the task in hand precedes each task.
There
is also a gallery for your creations and a series of activities
to do away from the computer.
