Michael Owen's Soccer Skills on DVD

DVD release 20.05.02

The most exciting footballer in the country makes his debut on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide DVD with the release of Michael Owen's Soccer Skills. MICHAEL OWEN, the England and Liverpool superstar, originally won the hearts of the nation in the second round of the 1998 World Cup when he scored that famous goal against Argentina. In recognition of the part he played in the World Cup, the country voted him as the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Sports Personality of the Year for 1998. He then went on to be voted European Footballer of the Year 2001. But what makes him so good?

Michael Owen's Soccer Skills examines the OWEN magic by exploring his technique and featuring some of the golden moments of his career. The DVD is menu driven with chapter points, taking you straight to your favourite moments.

Aimed at young players between the ages of 10 -14, the DVD examines key aspects of the game with OWEN demonstrating techniques that will improve any aspiring player's basic skills. All elements of the game are covered including passing, tackling, dribbling and shooting through set pieces, tricks and tactics.

OWEN introduces and demonstrates to a group of 12 youngsters, alongside professional coach SIMON CLIFFORD, well known for his work in introducing Brazilian football methods to a UK audience through a network of soccer academies. In passing on his tips to the group, OWEN puts the accent on enjoyment as the key factor no matter how unskilled the player.
