Worldwide brings Golden Jubilee to Cannes
In celebration of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee,
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide brings new and wide-ranging documentaries and music
programming to MipTV 2002.
Queen
and Country (4 x 60'), pre-sold to TVNZ New Zealand, ABC Australia,
ZDF Germany and RTR Russia, explores the different aspects of The
Queen's role as Sovereign, Head of the Commonwealth and Head of
State. This intriguing documentary sheds new light on how she has
reacted to the constant shifts in the world around her; including
interviews with leading international figures and never seen before
formal and informal footage. Queen and Country is a Mentorn Barraclough
and Carey production for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.

Worldwide also brings The Queen's Jubilee concerts to international
buyers at MipTV. The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ will stage two major music events in the
grounds of Buckingham Palace in June this year - Prom at the Palace
(1 x 125'), a classical concert, featuring performances from Russian
cellist Mstislav Rostropovich and soprano Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, among
others. Party at the Palace (1 x 180') will include performances
from Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Tom Jones, Sir Paul
McCartney and Phil Collins. Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide has received considerable
interest from international programme buyers and expects to conclude
a raft of deals at the market. It is anticipated the concerts will
reach hundreds of millions of viewers around the globe.
