The ABC figures for Jul to Dec 2001 have revealed:

Overall
Total circulation of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ titles is up 2.3% year on year (to 4,134,861). Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Magazines remains the third largest magazine publisher and out-performed both the number one and number two publishers: IPC up 0.3% yoy and Emap down 1.9% yoy.

TV Listings
Whilst the market declined 1.3% period on period, Radio Times maintained circulation at 1.2m. Year on year, Radio Times out-performed TV Times (down 9.0%) and TV Quick (down 12.6%). The market declined 3.3% yoy with the Radio Times only slightly behind (down 5.0%) and it retains an impressive 24% market share. The sector's only year on year gainer was TV Choice (up 7.0%) - despite this, Radio Times still sells over 53% more copies than TV Choice (1.2m vs 0.8m).

Food
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Good Food has recorded its third successive increase gaining 7.0% yoy and 3.8% pop. In a market which has declined by 4.1% yoy this is an exceptionally strong performance.

This market's phenomenal yoy growth of 23.3% is almost entirely accounted for by the three new launches - eve, Glamour and In Style.

Motoring
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Top Gear remains the market leader with a share of 24% and a circulation of 150k. All titles in this sector (apart from the small Evo) saw circulations fall both yoy and pop.

Gardening
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Magazines' two titles, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Gardeners' World (down just 3.3% yoy) retains a 36% share of the market, with the stylish Gardens Illustrated (up 4% yoy) taking a 4% share.
