Worldwide brings Golden Jubilee to millions in UK and around the globe
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Worldwide, the main commercial arm of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, will be supporting
the public service coverage of the Golden Jubilee celebrations through
a range of telephony, publishing and programme export business activities.
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Audiocall, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide's telephony division, will help 24,000
members of the British public join Her Majesty The Queen for two
unique concerts this June to celebrate her Golden Jubilee at Buckingham
Palace.
Prom
at the Palace (June 1) and Party at the Palace (June 3) will bring
together celebrated musical performers from Britain and the rest
of the world to celebrate the Jubilee and to raise money for The
Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Trust.
By calling 0900 1952 2002, a number which reflects the dates of
The Queen's reign, people can put forward their names in a ballot
for selection to attend the concerts in the grounds of Buckingham
Palace.
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Audiocall will manage more than 3,000 phone lines in English, Hindi,
Urdu, Gujerati, Punjabi, Bengali, Mipuri, Welsh and Gaelic. There
will also be a Typetalk line for hearing-impaired members of the
public. Invitations will be allocated across the country, using
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Audiocall's counties database. Calls will cost no more than
a pound.
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Music Live's website
will give up-to-date information as the ballot progresses, as well
as providing an alternative method for the public to register for
invitations.
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Worldwide will also represent the concerts in the international
television market, with the programmes to be licensed to broadcasters
around the world, the majority of which will air them live via satellite.
It is anticipated that territories such as America, Australia, New
Zealand, Canada, Japan, South Africa, Germany, France and Scandinavia
will be first to sign up for the concerts.
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Worldwide will also distribute Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ radio programmes of the concerts
and plans to produce videos and DVDs with partners around the world
to accompany the programmes.
Other
programmes celebrating the Jubilee include Queen and Country, which
will also be offered to broadcasters around the world. Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide
will publish the book and audio version of the series. It will also
produce the video of the one-hour Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ documentary The People's Queen,
featuring the public's home movie footage of The Queen over the
last 60 years, from the day she made her first public appearance
aged 16.
Rupert
Gavin, Chief Executive, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Worldwide commenting on the company's
commercial and international activities said, "The Golden Jubilee
concerts and programming are major landmark events and we are looking
forward to working with our publishing and broadcasting partners
around the world to ensure they reach the widest possible global
audience."
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Worldwide will donate proceeds from its commercial activity surrounding
the Jubilee concerts to The Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Trust.
