James Montgomery has been appointed as Director of Digital Content for ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ World News, taking responsibility for leading the editorial development of the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔβs commercially funded news website available outside of the UK.
He will take up his post in late May. Β He is currently the Editor of the financial news site FT.com and Assistant Editor of the Financial Times newspaper.
In addition to leading editorial development for the international news, sports and weather sites, he will also lead the development of cross-platform commercial content for ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ World News.
The ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔβs international news website is operated by the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Global News Division β which contains ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ World Service, ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ World News, ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Monitoring and the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ World Service Trust - ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔβs international charity arm. Β He will be a member of the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ World News board, reporting to ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ World News Director Sian Kevill.

James Montgomery has been with the Financial Times since 1997. He became Editor of FT.com in 2006 having previously been the Financial Timesβ US News Editor.
