Pudsey Express 2007

Dougie Weake is venturing out across North Yorkshire to see what you're up to for Children in Need... Here's a list of where he'll be and when, so why don't you pop along and say hello? You can buy a copy of our Bedtime Stories Book too...

On Friday 16th November, Children in Need day, Dougie's mammoth tour in the "Pudsey Express" (otherwise known as the radio car!) will take him right across the county from Scarborough to Selby and York to Harrogate.

He'll have copies of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio York's Bedtime Stories book with him, so you can get your copy from him for Β£5 if you haven't already - but hurry, as they're going fast.

If you don't catch up with Dougie on Friday to get hold of a book, fear not, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio York's reception will be opening specially on Saturday 17th November between 9am and 1pm. Or you can get one by post.

Here's Dougie's itinerary for the Pudsey Express, but don't forget all times are approximate...

0715 - 0800: York Railway Station

Dougie will be accosting commuters at York Railway Station and asking them where they're going? Will he find someone going to France or Belgium via Eurostar?

0845 - 0915: Selby College

Staff and students at the college are holding a whole week of activities for Children in Need. On Friday they'll be in fancy dress, there will be a staff v students quiz, karaoke and fun and games.

0945 - 1015: Morrisons Supermarket, Acomb, York

Lots of fun and games all day... including a jelly paddling pool - sounds messy! You'll be able to get hold of your copy of the Bedtime Story book.

1045 - 1100: Coppergate Centre, York

Stockton on the Forest Primary School choir will be singing their hearts out to raise pots of cash for Children in Need. Don't forget Dougie will have copies of the Bedtime Story book with him in the Pudsey Express.

1215 - 1230: Jitterbugs Nursery, Scarborough

Dougie has now travelled down the A64 to Scarborough where the children and staff from the nursery have been wearing 'spotty' things all week. There will be games and competitions and Pudsey cakes and biscuits will be on sale.

1415 - 1445: Thirsk Swimming Pool

The Pudsey Express visits Thirsk Pool where staff are swimming the English Channel - well the equivalent distance anyway - to raise funds for Children in Need. Dougie probably won't don his swimming trunks for this one!

1500 - 1530: Dishforth Airfield, Thirsk

Across the top of the county to Thirsk where the guys from 9 Regiment AAC Workshop REME should be back from their 24 hour trip around all the Premiership football grounds in the country. They are hoping to bring back stacks of footie memorabilia to auction in aid of CiN. Dougie will be there in the Pudsey Express to see how they've got on.

1615 - 1630: Sunbeams Day Nursery, Harrogate

All the little sunbeams - and some big ones too - are wearing their pyjamas, there will be a cake stall and face painting and lots more fun and games to raise money for Children in Need.

Well done North Yorkshire, we should have raised loads of money for Children in Need. Thank you very much.

Don't forget your money goes to help local projects too...
