Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio York celebrated all things to do with the East Coast from Sunday 23rd to Wednesday 26th September. As well as special live radio programmes, there was the opportunity for you to try your hand as a radio news reader and brush up on your digital photography skills on-board the broadcasting bus.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio York team spent two days at Scarborough's North Wharf and invited people to bring their photos and stories of the town's fishing industry. Lots of people brought their fishy tales and snaps along, including former fisherman Tom Rowley. Have a look at these wonderful photos and listen to Tom describing what's in each photo.

Day three saw the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio York team park the broadcasting bus at George Pindar Community Sports College in the Eastfield area of Scarborough. Lots of students enjoyed reading the news on-board the broadcasting bus, whilst others took part in the digital photography workshops. The final day of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio York's "We love... the East Coast" week was spent in Filey, focusing on the flooding which has affected the town since 1857.Μύ The team collected stories and photos from people now living in caravans whilst their houses are repaired or even rebuilt.
