The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Blast Young Reporter Scheme lets you experience what it’s like to work for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio York as well as share your passion about the local sports scene. Applications for this summer’s scheme are now open.
Are you passionate about Sport? Fancy being the next Gary Lineker, John Inverdale or Sue Barker?
A new, exciting opportunity has arisen for young reporters to work alongside sports teams at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio York and the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ North Yorkshire website this summer.
You’ll have a proven interest in both general sport and football journalism in particular.
You will be given the opportunity to record and write your own reports, and see how radio programmes and web pages are put together.

We're looking for an enthusiastic team player with a passion for sport to join Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio York and the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ North Yorkshire Where I Live website.
What's in it for you?
You'll take part in an eight week unpaid placement; of which we'd expect you to commit two days each week.
You'll have a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ mentor who will help you create your stories, and give you advice with your career.
You'll get your stories and interviews played out by your Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ local radio station; and also published on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ website - for the whole world to see.
We'll send you to Bristol for a two-day training event; paying for your accommodation and travel.
