The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Blast Young Reporter Scheme allows a young person to experience what it’s like to work for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio York as well as share their passion about the arts in North Yorkshire. Applications for this summer’s scheme are now open.
Do you love music, dance or visual arts? Could you tell the rest of the world about your passion?
This summer Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio YorkΜύ is looking for reporters, aged between 18-19, to report on some of the best gigs and events around the local area.
You'll be expected to cover everything from Hip-Hop to Bhangra to Ballet - and then get creative by writing reports, taking photos and even making videos about what you've discovered in the local arts scene.

We're looking for an enthusiastic team player with a passion for the arts to join this Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ North Yorkshire Where I Live website.
What's in it for you?
You'll take part in an eight week unpaid placement; of which we'd expect you to commit two days each week.
You'll have a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ mentor who will help you create your stories, and give you advice with your career.
You'll get your stories published on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ website - for the whole world to see.
We'll send you to Bristol for a two-day training event; paying for your accommodation and travel.
You'll also have the chance to broadcast on local radio, and possibly Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ TV.
So if you've got some spare time this summer and fancy putting Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Blast on your CV, then apply now to become a Blast Young Reporter.
