Inside RAF Fylingdales

If you've ever taken a leisurely drive through the North York Moors, you'll probably have caught a glimpse of RAF Fylingdales. And if this is the case, you've no doubt wondered what it's like inside. Well, so have we - so we went to find out...

RAF Fylingdales has been in operation for around 40 years. It was built as an early warning station during the cold war to detect a potential nuclear attack.

Like most military installations the base isn't open to the public and has tight security to prevent trespass.

However, we were granted entry and allowed to take photos...
