Lauren Gray

My name is Lauren Gray and I am a 19 year old student from Lisburn. I stopped studying english after my A-Levels and I miss it so I decided to begin writing again. Many of the poems submitted to this site have inspired me and I have really enjoyed reading them.

To Be A Butterfly by Lauren Gray

A flutter of hope

A breeze of air, so fresh and cold

Just stop and stare.

Μύ

To be a butterfly so free and light

No stress or worries, no reason to fight

A flutter, a flap and you will be gone

With such beauty in the world, nothing could be wrong.

Μύ

So when the darkness comes to you,

Think of a butterfly as you stand in the cold,

Fresh air and the morning dew.
