Monday Night Sport v Dodgeball

Tim, Geoff and Jon decided to go over to Corby for a quick game of Dodgeball. This time Geoff and Jon did not have it all their own way!

This week for the challenge they met up with one of Corby Borough Council's neighbourhood wardens: Jeremy Godard at the Connaughty Centre in Corby where he runs a Dodgeball club - it looked pretty brutal, and pretty straight forward.

Dodgeball is traditionally played in elementary school in the United States and Canada although it is becoming very popular here. It is also one of the playground favourites. There are many variations of the game but it generally involves people or a team trying to avoid being hit by a ball that other players will be throwing at them.

Players are grouped into teams. A few medium-sized balls are placed in a central location. The objective of each player is to hit an opponent in order to eliminate him or her from the game. The game ends when one player or team remains.

Jeremy Godard explain the rules:

Thanks to Jeremy Godard - contact him via the borough council to take part
