Three Wishes

By Robert Allen, 11, from Northampton.

Zaaaaaappppppppp... The Dark Djinni was banishedΜύ back inside the enchanted lamp, and cursed to a lifetime on earth, stuck inside the lamp, until any unfortunate person would be to summon him...

It was clear-out day again, and Roger had got his own games console so he was bored with all his other toys.

As all the rubbish was being emptied, Roger saw a lamp, lying there, on the floor. He picked it up, and, hoping that maybe, a djinni might be inside! He rubbed it but nothing seemed to happen, chucking it over his shoulder, Roger began to walk away.

"I grant you three wishes", came a grand voice from behind him. THREE WISHES! How cool was that?!

"First wish?" the djinni asked.

"I wish, that I could have an infinite amount of wishes!" wished Roger.

"Awwwwwwww... Tough luck, section 4, page 2 of the djinni's hand book states:
No mortal may ask for more wishes for himself or another. Sorry. That's one wish wasted!", smirked the djinni.

"Mannnn." complained Roger, "Ok. My second wish is to own a mansion!"

"DONE" boomed the djinni.

"So, where is it?" Asked Roger.

"In... AUSTRALIA!" laughed the djinni.

"Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr..." growled Roger, "Okay, last wish... I want to be... Dead Rich!"

"Sure!" the Dark Djinni exclaimed.

The next day, Roger's body was found, along with a bag of gold, and a discarded lamp.
